Until Help Arrives Training

Join us at the Until Help Arrives Training (UHA) this Thursday, October 21 at 6:30 PM. Get ready to gain new skills or reinforce existing ones to respond to life-threatening emergencies to help save lives until first responders arrive.

The event will last an hour and a half, and will be held primarily outdoors (weather allowing.) Dress warmly as it is getting chilly in the evenings!

Important: In place of the classroom part, we have posted three video recordings of the online UHA Training content, which may be watched at times convenient to you, and preferably before the hands-on practice on Thursday (strongly recommended).

As a reminder from ArlCERT, all participants must be fully vaccinated in order to participate in an in-person, hands-on practice event. All participants must wear a mask covering the nose and mouth, and practice social distancing for the duration. If you do not feel well, have any COVID-19 symptoms before the event, or if you have had recent contact with anyone you suspect or know to be COVID-19 positive, please do not participate in this event, but rather reschedule for another event date.

Despite these important and necessary precautions, we are anticipating a great hands-on practice together.

We have many techniques to cover, and a great group of instructors.

Note: If you are not able attend, please update your rsvp in advance. This is a limited ticketed event. Please, allow for other people on the wait list to participate. Check Until Help Arrives page for future training schedule.

Location: 2800 South Taylor Street. Arlington. 

Parking Directions:

Please park in the 3-level parking garage across from the Fire Training Academy (FTA). The event will be held behind the burn building at the Fire Training Academy, 2800 S Taylor St. Arlington, VA  22206.

After you park, cross the street to the FTA and follow the signs to the training area.

In the event of rain, the training will be held on the second level of the parking garage. Please park and follow the signs to the training area.
