The Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) is the only independent, nonprofit 501c3 organization devoted solely to providing emergency financial assistance and scholarships to our dedicated civilian federal and postal public servants and their families. Over our thirty year history we have worked with over 50,000 Federal Families.

Argentine Festival USA winner of the 2012 Gold Presidential Volunteer & 2010 Call to Service Award for a lifetime community work serving the community. A portion of the proceeds benefits a school yearly. Other communities are their own National Day such as Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Uruguay, among others. First Night Alexandria is a collaborative venture dedicated to bringing the region a family-focused and alcohol-free New Year's Eve celebration through the performing arts. Retail stores, hotels, churches, museums and public buildings throughout Old Town Alexandria are turned into performance venues to showcase local and regional talent with the collaboration of volunteers, area businesses, artists and performers.

Our mission is to end child hunger in Northern Virginia by raising awareness and community involvement. Through awareness comes a desire to help because no one believes a child should struggle with hunger. The main way that we accomplish our mission is by providing food assistance to secondary school students with the help of the local community.

Food Rescue US - the tech based, volunteer driven, direct transfer food recovery organization - is now operating in the DMV and looking for volunteers to act as Food Rescuers--transferring healthy, usable food from businesses with too much to agencies serving those with too little. With 40% of food being wasted, hunger in America makes no sense. Our generous donors and the Food Rescuers that power us provide a solution to ending local hunger. Join the food rescue revolution!

The Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens connects people to the park through volunteer service, education, and recreation. This unique park, only a few miles from the Nation's Capitol, reveals the only remaining tidal marsh in Washington, D.C., natural riparian environments along the Anacostia, and breathtaking historic water lily and lotus in ponds. We encourage public discovery of the park through community events, volunteer activities, and educational programs for youth.

Arlington’s public library system is an incredible resource for increasing literacy and strengthening our community.

We strive to enhance its capabilities by providing support for collections, events, and programs.

Since the inception of the Friends of the Kennedy Center volunteer program in 1965, and now into the 21st century, volunteers continue to provide invaluable service to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts—eleven hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the year. Friends serve as tour guides, assist in the gift shops, provide information at the Visitors Center, and so much more.

Friendship Place is a leader in developing solutions to homelessness that have results and a lasting impact. Our customized, person-focused programs empower participants to rebuild their lives, find homes, get jobs and reconnect with the community, permanently. Our mission is to empower people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to attain stable housing and to rebuild their lives. Our vision is a DC community and a nation in which every person has a place to call “home.”

To ensure all student parents have the opportunities to succeed and experience economic mobility, Generation Hope engages education and policy partners to drive systemic change and provides direct support to teen parents in college as well as their children through holistic, two-generation programming.

Gifts That Give Hope promotes meaningful gift giving and support for non-profit organizations by helping communities host Alternative Gift Fairs.
