To improve the health, wellbeing, and safety of children, youth, and families in Arlington through researching young people’s needs, advocating for improved policies and programs to meet those needs, and engaging all members of our community as part of the solution.

Our goals are to serve the Arlington Community through service and to support the education of students in need. We host fundraisers to support local charities and to fund scholarships for Arlington students from elementary school to college. We volunteer at charities and assist them in fundraising efforts. Arlington Rotary meets every Thursday from noon to 1:30pm at the Residence Inn in Courthouse for fellowship, lunch, and programs from local organizations and community leaders.

ASCA supports and coordinates the activities of Arlington County’s Sister Cities: Aachen, Germany; Coyoacán, Mexico; Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine; Reims, France; San Miguel, El Salvador. ASCA works to enhance and promote the region’s international profile and foster productive exchanges in education, commerce, culture, and the arts.

Our primary mission is blindness prevention. We support vision screenings, eye banks and eyeglass recycling. We provide eye care services to those at risk of losing their sight. Arlington South Lions Club is working in the Arlington Free Clinic, providing eye care, and the Eyeglass Recycling Center providing free eyeglasses to those unable to afford them. Looking forward, we will be screening pre-school children for Amblyopia, and helping them to get the care they need.

Arlington Thrive delivers same-day emergency funds to our neighbors in crisis, so they can be secure in their jobs, health, and homes and thrive in a caring community.

The Arm & Arm Mission is to provide holistic “mind-body” services to returning citizens and U.S. Military Veterans as they re-enter society. Delivered during high-risk transition periods, our goal is to help individuals’ change their view of themselves, their families and their communities. We accomplish this by addressing thinking, behavior, past trauma, and helping to improve resilience by using leading edge Cognitive and Somatic recovery techniques that can be self-sustained over time.

Reintegrate veterans into their communities through the arts

The Arthritis Foundation is the Champion of Yes. Leading the fight for the arthritis community, the Arthritis Foundation helps conquer everyday battles through life-changing information and resources, access to optimal care, advancements in science and community connections. Our goal is to chart a winning course, guiding families in developing personalized plans for living a full life – and making each day another stride towards a cure.

Through collaborative performance and lifelong learning opportunities, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities gain the skills and confidence to engage with the world. Our vision is to build an inclusive world where everyone can perform their art out.
