Project Knitwell is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the joy of knitting and its therapeutic benefits to people facing stressful situations. Project Knitwell volunteers provide knitting instruction and quality materials in an effort to foster wellness, comfort, and community among patients, family members, medical staff and others facing difficult circumstances.

Randolph is a Title I, International Baccalaureate (IB) public elementary school. Students attending Randolph represent more than 40 different countries and speak 20 different languages; more than 70% of Randolph’s students come from families who are economically disadvantaged. The Randolph PTA supports efforts to address food insecurity, as well as providing opportunities to enrich students’ educational experiences, including literacy, arts, and music programs.

The ReachFar Foundation Mission is to be a passionate advocate on behalf of children and families by proving resources and implementing programs that develop positive attitudes towards physical fitness and wellness, constructive behaviors, increased academic achievement and community service. RIF of NOVA is an all-volunteer nonprofit that provides new books to deserving children in the city of Alexandria and in Arlington, Fairfax, and Prince Williams counties. The goal is to promote literacy skills and to motivate reading among children who might otherwise have no books at home. Books are chosen during book distributions at 36 Northern Virginia schools and centers throughout the academic year.

ReadyArlington strives to build a safer and more resilient community. Our volunteer programs, such as the Community Advancing Resilience and Readiness Together (CARRT) and our Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) help us promote emergency preparedness in the community, and support our response in times of emergencies.

Real Food for Kids is committed to collaborating with community partners to ensure access to real, whole foods for all school children to alleviate food insecurity and improve public health outcomes.

At RPSV we turn pain into power for adults in recovery across Northern Virginia. We focus on the areas of mental health, substance use, and homelessness issues. We bring a fresh spark to community mental health and addiction recovery programs. Our programs decrease dependency on psychiatric hospitalization. Our programs are free. No insurance or referrals are needed.

RESET is a volunteer organization of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) professionals whose mission is to motivate children to discover and explore the worlds of science and math, and to encourage them to consider educational and career choices in related fields.

RILA holistically supports immigrants in our community by providing excellent, pro bono immigration legal assistance to those who are most vulnerable and who have the fewest resources.
